Spread the love

The Dark Rose. A cozy, sweet, and delicious winter drink or mocktail. It’s a romantic take on the classic Moscow Mule, swapping vodka for tequila. Mix tequila with a splash of raspberry liqueur (Chambord), pomegranate juice, lemon, and ginger beer. Top it off with rose petals for the prettiest winter cocktail. The mocktail version is included too.

Back with a fun Valentine’s Day-inspired drink today! I spotted these gorgeous glasses and just had to share this recipe—in these exact glasses!

A simple tequila-ginger cocktail (or mocktail) to toast a romantic winter night with your favorite people!

Whether it’s your boyfriend/girlfriend, your besties, or family and friends, this is the perfect Valentine’s Day drink to share!

I whipped up the mocktail for my little sister, Asher, and me as a sweet Valentine’s treat. Celebrating the season with her was so much fun!

No matter who you enjoy this drink with, they’re gonna love it!

Here’s how to make it:

Step 1: Fill a cocktail glass with ice
I used coupe glasses (sold out, but these coupe glasses are an adorable alternative) for a fancy, romantic vibe. But use whatever stemware you love—or even your favorite rocks glass!

Step 2: Shake, shake, shake
In a cocktail shaker (or a glass jar in a pinch), combine the tequila, raspberry liqueur, pomegranate juice, and lemon juice. Shake well to mix. Add ice and shake again until chilled. Strain into your ice-filled glass.

Step 3: Add ginger beer
Pour the ginger beer over the top. Drop in a small spoonful of pomegranate arils (seeds). If you’re feeling fancy, toss in a couple of rose petals too. It’s an extra touch, but such a romantic one!
